How to Copy the Quiz from One Store to Another¶
A quiz can be exported from one store and imported into another. The design, the questions, the tags and the results page all come across.
Products and collections do not. The new store gives them different IDs, so you link them to the choices again once the quiz arrives.
Copying the quiz¶
Install the app on both stores first
The quiz can only arrive somewhere the app is already running. See how to install the app.
Moving a quiz between versions is a different job
To bring a quiz from the legacy app into the Built for Shopify version on the same store, use Migrate from Legacy App instead.
-
Go to Quiz settings > General in the store you are copying from.
-
Find
Export quiz to another storeand clickCopy quiz code. This produces a piece of JSON holding the whole quiz. It does not expire, but it captures the quiz as it is at that moment.
Keep a copy of the code
Paste it into a text file, so it cannot be lost.
-
Sign in to the other store in a private or incognito window. Being signed in to two accounts in one browser causes caching issues.
-
Open the RevenueHunt app from that store's dashboard.
-
On the Dashboard, click New Quiz.

Changing domains¶
Read this before you move the app to a different domain.
Changing only the domain name, from example.com to example-two.com, leaves the app and your quizzes alone. The .myshopify.com address stays the same, so nothing breaks.
If the .myshopify account itself changes, that is a new store. Follow Copying the quiz, then link your products to the choices again, because the new store gives them different product IDs.

This version does not depend on your domain, and one quiz can run on several domains at once. Changing a domain breaks nothing.
Update the product links in the Catalogue, or in your Google Product Feed, so they point at the new address.
